Gee, if small businesses die off, where will the dollars be spent?

“Small businesses, which the Obama Administration has said contribute a majority of the nation’s jobs, are hurting. The Small Business Optimism Index, a composite that reflects factors such as plans to increase employment and expectations that the economy will improve, peaked in February, and has been falling ever since, according to the National Federation of Independent Business. June’s reading was the lowest in eight months.”

“Credit. Man’s Confidence in Man. Commercial credit is the creation of modern times and belongs in its highest perfection only to the most enlightened and best governed nations. Credit is the vital air of the system of modern commerce. It has done more — a thousand times more — to enrich nations than all the mines of the world.”  Quoted from a speech by Daniel Webster in the Senate at Washington, March 18, 1834.

“Man’s confidence in man” is the basis of a healthy commercial environment.  My best wishes to anyone competing with huge corporations in the current commercial environment.
